Bavarian Motors to Work Their Stuff at Heritage Motor Centre

Europe’s largest gathering of BMW’s

Europe’s largest gathering of BMW’s will descend on the Heritage Motor Centre when it hosts the annual BMW Car Club Festival on Sunday 17 August. The event promises to be even bigger than last year, with the re-naming of the event to ‘BMW Car Club Festival 14`.

Although very much an even for all ages of BMWs, with a great deal of special and racing modern machines, the day will also welcome a good number of classic cars amongst the 700 models expected.

Children’s activities will include bouncy castles, slides, face painting and a full size F1 simulator plus adult and child go-karting with trophies for the fastest go-kart and simulator driver. Visitors can also wander around the Museum and the restaurant will be open.

There is also a huge motorsport presence with some of the top teams showing their race cars and the opportunity to check your own power on the rolling road so visitors are urged to arrive early and book in to avoid disappointment. Ex formula 1 driver Mike Wilds will be joined by Alexander Simms, Tom Wigley and Barry whizzo Williams to name but a few.

Tom Caren, Show Manager for the Heritage Motor Centre stated “The BMW Festival is a fantastic day out and not just for enthusiasts. You can see BMW displays stretching as far as the eye can see and entry to the Museum is also included in the ticket price. This year we are encouraging all BMW owners to attend, not just members of the club. If you own a BMW or not, this is a family day out with a personal welcome from the Chairman David Frith”.

Tickets on the day cost £15 for adults, £8 for children (under 5’s are free) and £42 for a family. Discounted tickets are available in advance from the BMW Car Club Office on 01225 709009 or
