BEN Brings Another Year of Classic and Vintage Car Fun

BEN Brings Another Year of Classic and Vintage Car FunLynwood Summer Fete on 28th June, owned and operated by BEN, will see over 150 vintage and classic cars and motorcycles as part of its annual Classic Vehicle Rally.

Open to the public from 12.30 – 4.30 pm, families will be able to enjoy various activities including birds of prey flying display, miniature train rides, a ‘Companion’ Dog Show, entertainment, BBQ, the all-important bar – and much more as part of the traditional summer fete.

BEN, the automotive industry charity, provides support to anyone who works, or has worked in the automotive or allied trades and facing times of hardship. Proceeds from the fete go directly to Lynwood residents’ support; Lynwood being one of five care centres operated by BEN in the UK.

Amongst the many outstanding vehicles on display is a 1932 Bentley 8 Litre Blower. One of only 100 ever built, 82 years ago this car sold for £1,850 – equivalent to £370,000 today! Look out too for the rare 1948 Cisitalia 202 – a car once described as a ‘Rolling Sculpture’.

Kelly Neal, BEN Events Manager said: “All the cars and motorcycles take part in a Rally from Ascot Racecourse, through Windsor Great Park before arriving in Sunningdale for the fete. Come along on the 28th for a closer look at the magnificent display of vehicles or just enjoy the many attractions; you’ll find something to interest your whole family.”
